Ventura County is home to Oxnard, Thousand Oaks, and Ventura metropolitan areas.

A diverse and vibrant locale, Ventura County is comprised of several cities and unincorporated communities. Ventura serves as the county seat. Oxnard is considered the largest city in terms of population, while Thousand Oaks is recognized as the largest in terms of size.

Today, Ventura County is divided into two parts: East and West. Both areas experienced their fair share of development. Other cities located within the county include:

  • Camarillo

  • Ojai
  • Port Hueneme
  • Fillmore
  • Simi Valley
